The addition of Quince fruit brings a subtle honey pineapple flavor and fragrance to this variation on our classic apple pie.



Filling Ingredients: Apples, quince, sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, tapioca starch, salt, Chinese 5-spice, butter

Crust Ingredients: Flour, sugar, salt, butter, water, red wine vinegar

Allergens: Milk wash on crust.

Care: Refrigeration not required for first 3 days

Notes: Quince is an ancient fruit and was popular in Roman cooking. When raw it is tough, astringent, and inedible. Cooked it becomes soft and pear like with a honey flavor and a pineapple fragrance.
